2017-18 Men's Basketball Non-Conference schedule

HOUSTON -- 2017-18 University of Houston Men's Basketball season tickets go on sale Monday morning, and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets soon.

To enjoy 15 regular-season home games, fans can purchase Reserved season tickets for $200, while General Admission tickets are available for only $100, beginning at 9 a.m., Monday at uhcougars.com/tickets.

Current season-ticket holders can visit uhcougars.com/tickets and follow the appropriate links to renew their season tickets online at any time.

As the former Hofheinz Pavilion is transformed into the $60-million Fertitta Center, the Cougars will play most of their 2017-18 home games inside Health & PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University. Houston's complete 2017-18 schedule with specific home venues for all games will be announced soon.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Kelvin Sampson, the Cougars will compete in 30 regular-season games during the 2017-18 season, including 15 in the city of Houston. The campaign begins Nov. 10 against McNeese and includes a Dec. 2 showdown against former Southwest Conference rival Arkansas.

A BONUS for 2017-18
Fans who buy 2017-18 season tickets will receive a one-time bonus of 25 Cougar Pride Priority Points. This bonus boosts priority in the seat selection process for the Fertitta Center, which is scheduled to open for the 2018-19 season.
Fans looking to purchase season tickets can visit uhcougars.com/tickets and follow the appropriate links to purchase, beginning at 9 a.m., Monday.

Fans also can call the Houston Athletics Ticket Office, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647) or visit the box office. The Ticket Office is located off Cullen Boulevard near Gate 1 of TDECU Stadium with free parking up to 30 minutes in the nearby garage.

Five lettermen and three starters return in 2017-18 for the Cougars, who finished third in the American Athletic Conference and posted the program's second straight 20-win season.

Senior guard and All-American Athletic Conference First-Team selection Rob Gray led the Cougars and The American with 20.6 points per game, becoming Houston's first conference scoring champion since Aubrey Coleman led the nation in 2009-10.

Senior forward Devin Davis returns as the team's leading rebounder with 5.3 boards per contest, while junior point guard Galen Robinson Jr. dished out a team-best 155 assists, becoming the 18th player in school history with multiple 100+ assist seasons during his career.

The Cougars will be boosted by the addition of eight newcomers during the 2017-18 season. That award-winning group includes: Klein Forest High School forward Cedrick Alley Jr.; Mansfield Lake Ridge High School guard Mike Adewunmi; Saddleback Junior College forward Breaon Brady; San Jacinto Junior College guard Corey Davis; Three Rivers Community College forward Gabe Grant; San Jacinto Junior College center Chris Harris Jr.; Atascocita High School forward Fabian White Jr.; and LIU Brooklyn graduate transfer forward Nura Zanna in the Cougars' signing class.

For American Athletic Conference play, the Cougars will face Cincinnati, East Carolina, SMU, Temple, Tulane, USF and Wichita State in home-and-away games during the regular season.

Houston will compete against UConn and Tulsa at home while facing UCF and Memphis in away contests only.

American Athletic Conference game times and dates will be released later this summer.
