Tickets/Tables Available for Men's Basketball Tipoff Dinner

HOUSTON - Tickets and tables are available now for the University of Houston Men's Basketball program's Tipoff Dinner, scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5 on Guy V. Lewis Court inside Hofheinz Pavilion.

Check-in and cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m., Nov. 5, with the program starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available now for $250 per seat and 10-person tables starting at $2,500 in the Cougars' only preseason event of the year. Proceeds will be used to benefit the Houston Men's Basketball program.

Fans looking to buy tables or single tickets should call the Houston Men's Basketball Office at 713-743-9742 or email UHMensbasketball@uh.edu with their completed reservation forms. Fans can download the reservation form by visiting UHCougars.com/2014tipoff or by clicking here.

Houston legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler will attend this premier event, while Head Coach Kelvin Sampson will introduce the 2014-15 Cougars and offer his insights as he moves into his first season with the program.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, legendary center Hakeem Olajuwon will not be able to attend the Tipoff Dinner as originally scheduled.

Fans are invited to bid to sit at tables with Drexler and Sampson in an online auction, which concludes at 5 p.m. (CDT), Monday. Fans should stay tuned to UHCougars.com and Houston Men's Basketball's social media sites for the latest links and auction news.

Pre-payment and RSVP must be received by Wednesday, Oct. 29, to guarantee reservations.


THE SCHEDULE
The Cougars open the 2014-15 campaign with a Nov. 8 exhibition against North Alabama inside Hofheinz Pavilion. After traveling to play at Murray State in the regular-season opener on Nov. 14, the Cougars compete in front of the hometown fans with a Nov. 22 showdown against Murray State.

Eight teams on Houston's schedule - UConn (32), Cincinnati (27), Harvard (27), SMU (27), Memphis (24), Murray State (23), Boise State (21) and Tulsa (21) - won at least 20 games a year ago with five of those - UConn, Harvard, Memphis, Cincinnati and Tulsa - competing in the NCAA Tournament.

UConn captured the national championship, while Harvard and Memphis advanced to the NCAA Tournament Third Round. SMU also advanced deep in the postseason before bowing out in the NIT Championship game.

All 18 American Athletic Conference games will be shown live on the ESPN and CBS Sports network of families. The Cougars can also be seen on FOX Sports 1 during the final day of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic on Dec. 23.

SEASON TICKETS
Season ticket packages start for as low as $99 in the Reserved 3 section for 17 regular-season home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion. The Memorial Hermann Family Plan, which includes two adult and two kids' season tickets, can be purchased for only $399 in the Reserved 2 section for the entire regular-season home schedule.

To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Athletics Ticket Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Gate 1 off Cullen Boulevard. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge.

All UH main campus students are admitted FREE to regular-season Men's Basketball home games with a valid student ID.

MINI PLANS
Fans can choose from a pair of affordable mini-plans to suit any budget. With the 3-Point Pack, fans can pick any three of the Cougars' 17 regular-season home games with prices starting as low as $9 per game in the Reserved 3 section.

In the Conference Pack, fans can purchase tickets to each of the Cougars' nine American Athletic Conference home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion, starting at only $8 per game in the Reserved 3 section.

GROUP TICKETS
Tickets for groups of 10 or more can be purchased for as low as $9 per ticket in Reserved 3 (Section 101-102, 115-116, 126-128) for 17 regular-season home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Groups of 10 or more can buy tickets for only $14 per ticket in the Reserved 2 (Sections 103-104, 109-111, 117-119 and 124-125), while Reserved 3 seats (Section 105-108, 120-123) are available at $19 per ticket.

The ticket cost per person falls even more for groups of 25 or more. Group administrators are encouraged to call or visit the Athletics Ticket Office soon to secure their seats.
