HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Men's Basketball program continues to move closer to the start of the 2015-16 season, and fans can catch the first glimpses of the team in action at 3 p.m., Saturday, during the Red-White Scrimmage inside Hofheinz Pavilion.
Admission is free, and all fans are invited to attend. Fans will have the opportunity to look at available seating inside Hofheinz Pavilion and purchase 2015-16 Men's Basketball tickets on the Hofheinz Pavilion concourse during the scrimmage.
Courtside seating will not be available for Saturday's scrimmage with all seats in the bowl available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
With a Houston Football game later in the day, Houston Basketball fans should note that the Houston Football Gameday Parking plan will be in effect.
Following the scrimmage, Houston fans can head across the street to TDECU Stadium where the 18th-ranked Houston Football team takes on SEC member Vanderbilt at 6 p.m., Saturday. It will be the first of three straight home games inside TDECU Stadium.
In addition to the scrimmage, fans also will have the opportunity to purchase Men's Basketball tickets at the Fan Experience table at Gate 1 of TDECU Stadium before all Houston Football games for the remainder of the season.
Under the leadership of two-time National Coach of the Year Kelvin Sampson, the Cougars return six lettermen, including four starters. Houston opens its season at 7 p.m., Nov. 13, when it plays host to Montana Tech in an exhibition game inside Hofheinz Pavilion.
Houston begins the regular season at 7 p.m., Nov. 18, when it plays host to Prairie View A&M inside Hofheinz Pavilion. That will be the first of 18 exciting regular-season home games inside the Cougars' home arena.

Fans also can call 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647) or visit the Athletics Ticket Office from 10 a.m., to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Athletics Ticket Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Gate 1 off Cullen Boulevard. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge.
Single-game tickets for Houston Men's Basketball's 2015-16 season begin at only $5 per game. Fans can purchase General Admission single-game tickets for only $5, while Reserved 2 seating is available for only $10 per game. Fans may buy Reserved 1 single-game tickets for $15 per ticket.

Fans should note that single-game tickets for the Cougars' Dec. 13 showdown against LSU inside Hofheinz Pavilion will not be available.
Instead, fans can purchase tickets for the LSU game as part of a 3-Point Pack, which includes a ticket to the LSU game and tickets to two other Houston home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Reserved 1 seating for the 3-Point Pack can be purchased for $40 with Reserved seating available for only $30.

Tickets for groups of 10-24 or more can be purchased for as low as $12 per ticket in Reserved 2 for 18 regular-season home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Groups of more than 25 people can buy Reserved 2 tickets for only $10 per ticket
Groups of 10 -24 can buy tickets for only $10 per ticket in Reserved 2 with prices plummeting to only $6 per ticket for groups of 25 or more.

Before hitting the court for games, the Cougars will hold their annual preseason Tipoff Dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 10, with Houston legend Elvin Hayes being honored for his outstanding collegiate and professional careers.
The dinner will be held at the Hilton University of Houston (4800 Calhoun Rd, Houston, TX 77004). Check-in and cocktail hour begin at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner and program slated to start at 6:30 p.m. Houston Rockets television play-by-play broadcaster and proud Houston alumnus Bill Worrell will serve as master of ceremonies.
Now in his second season with the Cougars, two-time National Coach of the Year Kelvin Sampson will introduce his student-athletes and staff and offer insight into the team's first month of practice. Hayes, who currently works as the team's radio analyst for road games, will be recognized for a Hall of Fame career, both at the collegiate and professional levels.
