HOUSTON - Beginning Monday, University of Houston students have the chance to win tickets to the 2014 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament through a series of contests each week on the Cougars' social media sites.

From Nov. 5 through March 10, the NCAA will receive one registration from each Division I school and conduct a random drawing for a weekly winner. The national winner chosen each will receive either four (4) 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four tickets or four (4) preliminary round tournament tickets of their choice, subject to availability (some tournament site may not be available).

Houston Men's Basketball fans should follow HoustonAthletics on Facebook and @UHCougarSports on Twitter for the latest contest information at the beginning of each week. The student who successfully wins each weekly contest will be submitted as Houston's representative for the weekly national drawing.

The 2013-14 season opens at 7 p.m., Tuesday, with an exhibition contest against St. Thomas. The regular season tips off at 8 p.m., Nov. 8 against Texas State with both games inside Hofheinz Pavilion.

General Admission season tickets start for as low as $195, while Reserved season tickets start at only $280. Families can purchase the Memorial Hermann Family Fun Plan of two adult and two youth General Admission tickets for only $399.

Fans also can purchase season tickets by visiting or calling the Athletics Ticket Office at 713-Go-COOGS (462-6647) or 877-COUGAR-5 (268-4275) or by clicking here.

In addition to the 17 regular-season home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion, the Cougars' season-ticket package also includes both games of the Lone Star Showcase inside Toyota Center.

Houston meets crosstown rival Rice at 3:30 p.m., Dec. 21, in the first game with Texas A&M facing Oklahoma at 6 p.m., Dec. 21, in the nightcap. Purchasing Houston Men's Basketball season tickets provides admission to both games of this exciting twinbill.
