The University of Houston men's basketball team looks to win its fourth straight game when the Cougars play host to Grambling State on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 8:00 PM in Hofheinz Pavilion.
Houston enters the game with a 4-1 overall record after beating inner-city rival Texas Southern 73-66 last Wednesday night in Hofheinz Pavilion. Houston also won its last two games in the ESPNU Puerto Rico Tip-Off over Marist and the College of Charleston after falling to VCU 73-72 in the opening round of the tournament. Houston won its season-opening game against Morehead State 83-54 in Hofheinz Pavilion on Nov. 9.
Grambling State enters the game with a 0-4 record after suffering a 99-67 loss at TCU last Wednesday night. The Tigers also suffered losses at South Alabama and Georgia after opening the season with an 86-82 overtime loss against Texas College in their only home game of the season.
The Cougars and Grambling State meet for the third time overall and second straight season. Last year, Houston won 96-61 in Hofheinz Pavilion after beginning the series with a 95-52 victory in on Nov. 27, 2004.
