    ANCHORAGE, Alaska - As a busy weekend for University of Houston athletics draws closer, fans of the Cougar Men's Basketball team must make a small change in their listening plans for Saturday.

    For Saturday's game only, the Cougars can be heard live on 740 AM KTRH. Houston Football and Men's Basketball games regularly are heard on 790 AM The Sports Animal, but the Cougars' regular-season football finale against Conference USA- and crosstown-rival Rice that same day forced the men's basketball switch to 740 AM KTRH.

    Fans can hear Saturday's men's basketball game live on 740 AM KTRH with Brett Dolan calling the play-by-play action. Saturday's game-time possibilities are 5 p.m. (CST), 7:30 p.m. (CST) or 10 p.m. (CST) with potential opponents including Washington State, Nicholls State or host Alaska-Anchorage.

    Saturday's men's basketball pregame show can be heard live on 740 AM KTRH beginning 15 minutes before tipoff.

    Prior to Saturday, the Cougars play two games at the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage, Alaska. Houston opens the tournament at 10:30 pm. (CST), Thursday, against No. 25 Oklahoma and meets San Diego at 10:30 p.m. (CST), Friday, inside Sullivan Arena.

    Those opening two games can be heard live on 790 AM The Sports Animal with Dolan calling the play-by-play. The pregame show is slated to being at 10:15 p.m. (CST).


    FOOTBALL RADIO INFORMATION
    Fans can hear Saturday's football game against Rice live on 790 AM The Sports Animal with Tom Franklin calling the play-by-play action, Ted Pardee providing analysis and Chuck Brown reporting from the sidelines. The football pregame show is slated to begin at 6 p.m., Saturday.
