The University of Houston men's basketball team will try to win their fifth straight game and improve its record to 6-1 when the Cougars play host to Coastal Carolina on Monday, Nov. 26 at Hofheinz Pavilion.
The Cougars enter the game coming off a 95-53 victory over Grambling State last Saturday. Houston shot a season-best 49.2 (29-59) from the field and 72.5 (29-40) percent from the free throw line while committing just two turnovers against the Tigers.
Coastal Carolina enters the game with a 3-2 record after last Saturday's game at McNeese State was postponed. The Chanticleers are 0-2 in road games this season and enter Monday night's game with 23 consecutive losses in non-conference road games. The two losses this season came at Cincinnati (74-59) and Wright State (71-48). The last time Coastal Carolina won a non-conference road game was Nov. 22, 2003, when the Chanticleers beat Marist 74-70.
