Men's Hoops to Make Television Season Debut at Sam Houston State this Weekend

Dec. 3, 2010

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The University of Houston men's basketball team will make its first of 11 regular-season television appearances when it squares off against Sam Houston State at 2 p.m., Saturday inside Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.

The game will be shown live on the Southland Conference Television Network on local affiliates throughout Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. Unfortunately, the game will not be available in the Greater Houston area.

Doug Anderson will handle play-by-play duties for the game with Jim Haller providing analysis.

For those fans who cannot see the game live, it will be shown on tape delay at 5 p.m., Sunday, on Fox College Sports Central.

All Southland TV games will be streamed live to SLC NOW, the conference's audio and video streaming platform on Southland.org. All SLC NOW programming is free to all who register on the site.

This marks the 31st consecutive season that the Cougars will play at least one game on television. In addition to Saturday's game, the Cougars will compete on CSS and CBS College Sports.

Following Saturday's game, the Cougars will enjoy two more televised games in front of the hometown fans. The Cougars meet Nevada at 7 p.m., Monday, and then play host to UTSA at 6 p.m., Saturday with both games airing live on CSS from Hofheinz Pavilion.
