HOUSTON – Game time for the University of Houston Men’s Basketball game against SEC foe LSU on Sunday, Dec. 13, inside Hofheinz Pavilion was changed to 4:30 p.m., school and American Athletic Conference administrators announced Thursday evening.

With the time change, the game also will be moved to ESPN2. The Dec. 13 game will be the first time since Nov. 29, 2011, that the Cougars have entertained the Tigers inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Houston leads the all-time series 9-7, but the Tigers can boast of the most recent success as winners of the last two games.

The first 2,000 fans in attendance at the LSU game will receive a free t-shirt, presented by Maintenance Supply Headquarters.

The Cougars recently improved to 5-0 after an impressive 93-78 win against Murray State on Wednesday night inside Hofheinz Pavilion. It was the third time in the young season that Houston posted at least 93 points in a game.

The Forest City, N.C., native posted at least 20 points for the second time in the last three games after totaling 22 in the Cougars’ win against ULM on Saturday.

Junior point guard Ronnie Johnson added 17 points with two rebounds and two assists, while senior forward Devonta Pollard finished with 14 points with five rebounds and a game-high three steals. Freshman point guard Galen Robinson posted 13 points with five assists and no turnovers in the win.

LSU improved to 4-3 this season with a 119-108 win over North Florida in Baton Rouge, La., on Wednesday, thanks to a 71-point second half. Freshman star Ben Simmons leads the Tigers with 19.9 points, 14.9 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game and totaled 43 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and five steals in the win against UNF.
