TAMPA, Fla. -- The University of Houston Men's Basketball team continues its American Athletic Conference road swing when it takes on league-rival USF at 11 a.m. (CST) Saturday, inside the Sun Dome.

This will be the second game for the Cougars on their two-game, six-day road swing. The trip started in impressive fashion with a 62-46 win at UConn on Wednesday afternoon inside the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.

Houston built a 36-12 halftime lead and never trailed in knocking off the Huskies for the second straight game in Connecticut. The Cougars' defensive efforts in the first 20 minutes set a league record for fewest points allowed in a half, besting the previous low of 14 by USF in an 80-46 loss at UConn on Feb. 12, 2014.

Junior guard Rob Gray led all players with 20 points for the 15th 20-point game of his career and his team-leading eighth in 2016-17.

Senior guard Damyean Dotson added 10 points with a team-high six rebounds, while senior forward Danrad Knowles totaled 10 points in the win.

This season, Gray leads the Cougars and ranks second in the league with 20.1 points per game and is the only Cougar to score at least 14 points in all 13 games to date.

Dotson ranks second on the team with 14.5 points per game but leads the Cougars with 7.1 rebounds per contest. The Houston native is one of only five players to rank among The American's top-10 leaders in both scoring and rebounding.

Sophomore point guard Galen Robinson Jr. leads the Cougars and the league with 5.5 assists per game. The Westbury Christian product needs 29 more assists to become the 18th player in Houston history with multiple 100+ assist seasons during his career.
