Entering its first season with head coach Tom Herman at the helm, Houston was picked to finish second in the west division in the 2015 American Athletic Conference preseason poll by media from across the league.
Houston received 10 first-place votes for the west division, and finished just four points behind 2014 American champion Memphis, who received 13 first-place votes, and who the Cougars defeated 28-24 last season in Memphis. The loss was Memphis' lone home loss of the season and its lone conference loss of 2014, extending Houston's winning streak in the series to five games. The two teams meet this season on Nov. 14 at TDECU Stadium in Houston. READ FULL RELEASE
