Ward, Farrow Lead Houston Past SMU, 49-28

    The University of Houston Football team dominated the rushing game Thursday night and improved to 2-0 in American Athletic Conference play with a 49-28 victory over SMU. With the victory, the Cougars improved to 5-0 overall in head coach Tom Herman's first season.

    Houston Football (4-0, 1-0 American) will welcome in-state rival SMU (1-4, 0-1 American) to TDECU Stadium at 7 p.m. Thursday for its conference home opener. The game is slated to air nationally on ESPN2 and on KPRC 950 AM in Houston.

    Parking Details for Thursday Night SMU Game

    Houston will receive national exposure as it faces in-state rival SMU on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. With classes in session, entry in a limited number of game day lots is being slightly delayed and Houston fans wearing red will be allowed to ride METRO Rail's Purple Line free of charge Thursday.
