The University of Houston has accepted an invitation to play in the BBVA Compass Bowl at historic Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday, Jan. 4, against an SEC opponent who will be named later Sunday. The game will kickoff at at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT and be carried nationally on ESPN and ESPN Radio.
Travis Bush has been named the University of Houston's Offensive Coordinator, head coach Tony Levine announced Friday. Currently wrapping up his second year at UH, Bush spent the 2013 season as the program's Co-Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach. Bush will oversee the team's quarterbacks.
Due to inclement weather in the area, Houston's open practice on Saturday has been canceled. The team will still hold its previously scheduled autograph session on the concourse of Hofheinz Pavilion at 4:15 p.m. prior to the start of the Houston men's basketball game vs. San Jose State at 5 p.m.
