Looking to crack the lineup of the vaunted Cougar receiving corps... big target with soft hands... has worked hard during last two off seasons to prepare for rigors of Division I-A football... deceptive speed and is a good downfield blocker... is listed as a backup wide receiver heading into fall camp... could see some action on the Cougar special teams... 2004: Played in one game (Army) but did not register a catch... 2003: Did not see any action as a member of the squad... 2002: Redshirted as a true freshman... High School: Prepped at Angleton High School for head coach Pat Fulbright... was named First Team, All-Brazoria County as a wide receiver... also selected First Team, All-District 24-4A... also played basketball... was a First-Team, All-Brazoria County selection in hoops as well... Personal: Born June 30, 1984, in Freeport, Texas... son of Ann Carethers of Angleton, Texas... enjoys playing basketball in spare time... also recruited by Kansas State, West Texas A&M and Sam Houston State... majoring in psychology. |
