Mr. Versatility for the Cougars the last few seasons...heads into fall camp as UH's number-one fullback...originally walked on as a linebacker and was switched to fullback prior to the 2001 season...injuries at tight end forced a switch there...bullish runner who runs one way--North and South...has great hands and could be used out of the backfield on flat routes and screens...punishing blocker who will be used in short-yardage situations...will also see plenty of playing time on the special teams...2001: Played in 10 games last season, including a start against Georgia in the season finale...finished the season with seven catches for 62 yards...highlight of the season was five-catches (for 48 yards) versus UAB with a broken hand...missed the Louisville game with the aforementioned broken hand...2000: Played in all 11 games for the Cougars...played primarily on special teams but did see some late action against Cincinnati and East Carolina...did Not record a tackle...did return one kickoff for nine yards on a squib kick..High School: Prepped at West Orange-Stark High School...was named all-district and all-Orange County...also played basketball, baseball and ran track...Personal: Born February 3, 1979, in Orange, Texas...son of Maxine and Evan Feathers of Orange, Texas...his uncle, Roman Feathers, played football at Lamar University in Beaumont...enjoys drawing in his spare time...majoring in psychology.
