Justin Moore begins his fourth season as the assistant athletics director for football operations, coming to the University of Houston in the spring of 2008 from Texas A&M.
Moore oversees every aspect of the Cougar football program, including team travel, academics, departmental budget, personnel, game day operations as well as serving as a liaison to the Athletics Department senior staff.
Prior to joining Houston, Moore spent two years as special assistant to the senior associate athletics director at Texas A&M. In this role Moore coordinated and led the NCAA certification process, assisted with football scheduling and assisted and coordinated all student financial aid. He also coordinated and supervised all activities associated with agent interviews, NFL pro-day and all educational seminars and activities for student-athletes and their parents.
Prior to his stint at Texas A&M, Moore worked in the private sector as a risk consultant for Deloitte & Touche LLP. He consulted with top level executives of Fortune 500 companies on both their business cycles and information technology processes.
Moore was a two-time captain for the Aggie baseball team where he starred from 2000-2004. Named a Freshman All-America pitcher in 2001, Moore was twice named to the All-Big 12 Team, was a two-time recipient of the Pat Olsen Most Valuable Pitcher Award (2001-2002) and was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team four straight years.
Moore, a Houston native, graduated from Texas A&M in 2004 with a degree in finance and later earned a master's degree in sport management.
He and his wife, Dory, live in Houston with their daughter, Kate, and son, Tysen.
