Should be completely healed from off-season knee surgery... missed the last half of the season after suffering a knee injury against Marshall on Oct. 28, 2008... played against Tulane but took himself out on the first series... one of five defensive starters returning.
Junior (2008):
Ranked among Cougars' top-seven leaders in tackles, despite missing final four games due to knee injury... Two games with double-digit tackles... led all players with 11 tackles, including eight solo stops, at Oklahoma State... also added a tackle for a 3-yard loss against the Cowboys... finished with seven tackles, including six solo, against Air Force in Dallas... recorded nine tackles, including seven solo stops, at Colorado State... added 1.5 tackles for a loss of eight yards and a quarterback hurry against the Rams... tallied seven tackles, including a pair of solo stops, at No. 23 East Carolina... led all players with 14 tackles, including four solo stops, against C-USA rival UAB... also posted a 15-yard sack and intercepted a Blazer pass in the end zone. .. recorded six tackles, including five solo stops, at C-USA rival SMU... posted nine tackles, including one for a loss of two yards, at C-USA rival Marshall.
Sophomore (2007):
Competed in all 13 games... recorded four solo stops at Conference USA rival Tulane... finished with four tackles, including an assist for a loss, against C-USA rival East Carolina... posted five tackles at Alabama... finished with three tackles against C-USA rival Rice... led all UH defenders with five tackles, including three solo stops, at UAB... also added an assisted tackle for a loss of two yards... recorded two tackles, including an assist for a loss of a yard, against SMU... posted five tackles, including a pair of solo stops, at C-USA rival Tulsa. Texas Bowl: Recorded a solo tackle against TCU.
Freshman (2006):
Valuable member of the special teams units... appeared in all but one game during his first collegiate season.
High School:
Prepped at Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas... helped lead his team to a 13-1 record and a regional final appearance as a senior... named Honorable Mention 5A All-State... selected to the All-Region I Super Team... twice named First-Team All-District... also picked up First Team All-Collin County honors as a senior... registered 20 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, three quarterback hurries and three tackles for losses against Flower Mound High School... was a four-year starter on the lacrosse team... named First-Team All-State as a senior... three-time First-Team All-District selection.
