Heads into his final season as the Cougars top wide receiver...hopes to regain 2000 form after taking a back seat to Orlando Iglesisas last season...is expected to be as productive in 2002 as he was as a sophomore when he received regional and national accolades...heads into spring practice as one of the Cougars' three starting wide receivers... athletic receiver who is constantly improving...provides a big target for the Cougar quarterbacks with his 6-4 frame...always makes the catch in a crowd...has great hands and runs good routes...recorded two receptions for 28 yards in the annual 2001 Red-White Game in the spring...will be an honors candidate again this season and could push for national accolades with a repeat of the 2000 season...added another dimension to his game with his running ability off of end arounds...2001: Played in all 11 games, including the last six as a starter...finished the season with 23 catches for 274 yards and three touchdowns...numbers dropped drastically from 2000 stats but most of his catches were thrown to senior Orlando Iglesias...also rushed six times for 47 yards, including a 23-yard scamper against South Florida...had a season-high six catches against TCU...racked up five catches for 91 yards in road contest at Army...scored a fourth-quarter touchdown against Rice that pulled the Cougars within a touchdown with four minutes to go...also hauled in scoring tosses against Memphis and Southern Miss...2000: Named Second-Team All-Conference USA after 80-catch season in first year as a significant contributor ....in 2000 teamed with another sophomore, KeyKowa Bell, to become one of the most prolific receiving tandems in the nation...did Not begin the season as a starter, but was thrust into the lineup with the season-ending injury to Orlando Iglesias... started eight games...missed the majority of the Texas and SMU games with a hip pointer...his 15 catches against Army were the most by a Cougar receiver in eight years...was one of the top receivers in the nation...finished fifth in the nation at 7.18 receptions per game (Division I-A)...ranked 30th nationally with 81.09 yards receiving per contest ...finally, was 31st among D-I receivers in total receiving yardage...also had a 10-catch game against LSU and a 12-reception contest versus Cincinnati...scored the winning touchdown in triple overtime to defeat Memphis ...hauled in 11 catches for a career-best 154 yards versus Tulane...also posted double-figures in catches with 12 for 124 yards versus East Carolina... 1999: Played in 10 games... had three receptions for 14 yards...had one reception a piece versus Louisiana, UAB and East Carolina...1998: Redshirted inaugural campaign with the Cougars ...High School: A three-year starter at Mainland High School ...a First-Team All-Area choice...named the eighth-best wide receiver in Florida and a State Top 75 by the Florida Times Union...named one of the Top 75 in Florida by Jeff Whitaker's Deep South Recruiting...rated as the 52nd-best player in Florida by SuperPrep...was an All-Southeast Region Selection by the National Recruiting Advisor...led Mainland to a 9-2 record and the District 5-5A championship... coached by John Moronto...was second in Volusia County in receiving...caught 31 passes for 515 yards and five touchdowns... averaged 16.6 yards per catch...selected UH over Florida State...Personal: Born November 24, 1979, in Daytona Beach, Fla...son of Shirley Robinson of Daytona Beach...majoring in sports administration ...younger brother, Bruce, joined the team last season and was a redshirt freshman in 2002.
