Moved into regular special teams lineup during the second half of the season, appearing in seven of the final eight games... made his season debut during the Cougars' thrilling, come-from-behind win against C-USA UAB... finished with an assist against C-USA rival Tulane during the annual Homecoming game.
Redshirt Freshman (2007):
Appeared in three games against Tulane, Colorado State and East Carolina... made his collegiate debut at Tulane... assisted on a tackle against Colorado State during the Cougars' home opener.

Sat out as a redshirt.

Prepped at Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas... helped lead team to a 12-1 record and a district championship as a senior... was selected the MVP of both the football and basketball teams... also named to the All-City First-Team honors in both sports... named Second Team All-State in football.
