Calvin Thibodeaux enters his second season with the University of Houston football staff, serving as the defensive graduate assistant. He will continue to assist Jim Jeffcoat with the defensive line, and will be responsible for on-campus recruiting, opponent scouting reports, video breakdowns and coordinating the offensive scout teams. A four-year letterman at the University of Oklahoma, Thibodeaux was an All-Big 12 selection and was a member of four BCS bowl games during his career at OU. During his junior season (2005), he was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team after leading the conference in sacks with 10, which was the fifth-best in Oklahoma history. He also had tied a team-high 17 tackles for loss, while adding a season-high seven tackles and three sacks against Texas A&M. Born Sept. 26, 1983, Thibodeaux graduated from Westbury High school before enrolling in Oklahoma. In 2006, Thibodeaux graduated from Oklahoma with a degree in public affairs and administration. He signed with the Calgary Stampeders in April of 2007, playing two preseason games. Thibodeaux is married to the former Terrika Warren and the couples resides in Houston. |
