Tory Teykl was named Director of Internal Operations in January, 2015, after spending the 2014 season as Director of Football Operations for the University of Houston Football program. Teykl spent the 2013 season as the program's Associate Director of Football Operations, her first as a member of the UH football staff after spending four years in the Houston Athletics Marketing Department as Director for Marketing and Promotions.
The Rosenberg, Texas, native was heavily involved in all aspects of the program's operations throughout the 2013 season including assisting with team travel, the daily operations of the program, and taking the lead on all operational efforts in Houston's visit to the 2014 BBVA Compass Bowl.
"Tory is extremely detailed and organized, and did an outstanding job this past year as a member of our staff," added Levine. "She is very hardworking and loyal, and has been a major asset to our program."
The Rosenberg, Texas, native earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Texas A&M in 2007. Shortly after, she received her Masters of Science in Sports Management from A&M in 2009. Throughout the completion of her graduate degree, she worked for the Bryan/College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau where she was a Sports Assistant while simultaneously holding a position with the Texas A&M Football program as a Recruiting Assistant.
Upon completion of her master's degree, Teykl served two years as the Assistant Director for Marketing and Promotions at UH and worked with volleyball, soccer, men's and women's basketball, tennis and baseball. In 2011, Teykl was announced as the Director for Marketing and Promotions for the UH Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. She worked closely with the Associate Director for Marketing and Promotions to facilitate the day to day operations for the marketing department and also served as the representative for football, swimming and diving, track and field and softball.
