HOUSTON (AP) - Anthony Evans ran for 282 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night as Houston got two late scores to beat Army 35-21 and extend the nation's longest losing streak to 17 games.

Evans ran 34 times as Houston (1-2) piled up 369 yards rushing on Army (0-2), which last won in November 2002, a 14-10 victory at Tulane. Evans was 18 yards shy of the school record, set by Joffrey Reynolds in 2002.

Army's Carlton Jones tied the scored on a 4-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, but Houston answered quickly.

Vincent Marshall caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Kolb with 6:38 left, then Jackie Battle scored on a 28-yard run three minutes later to put the game out of reach.

Kolb completed 20 of 33 passes for 278 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Houston, which had 647 yards of offense.

Tielo Robinson led Army with 148 yards rushing, and Jones added 70 yards and a pair of TDs. Jones also had a 12-yard scoring run in the second quarter.

Houston had taken a 21-7 lead before Army's Reggie Nevels hit Jeremy Trimble with a 25-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth.

The Cougars led 13-6 at halftime on Evans' 1-yard TD run and a pair of field goals. Evans had 14 first-half carries for 81 yards.
