    TEAM NOTES
    ** The Cougars' 17-play drive that was capped by senior wide receiver Perry McDaniel's 5-yard touchdown catch at the 12:22 mark of the fourth quarter was the longest drive (in plays) for UH in 2007... It topped the 15-play drive to end the season opener at Oregon on Sept. 1, 2007.

    ** The Cougars improved to 2-3 (.400) all-time against UTEP... The Cougars also enjoyed their first win in El Paso in the all-time series... UH improved to 1-3 (.250) all-time against the Miners in El Paso.

    ** The Cougars improved to 85-66-1 (.563) all-time against current teams in Conference USA.

    ** The Cougars improved to 3-6 (.333) all-time when playing on Oct. 27.

    ** The Cougars improved to 127-116-9 (.516) all-time against teams from the state of Texas.

    ** With 34 points, the Cougars scored in their 88th consecutive game... The Cougars have not been shut out since a 48-0 loss at Texas on Sept. 23, 2000.

    ** With 522 yards of total offense (214pass, 306 rush), the Cougars recorded at least 400 yards of total offense for the 42nd time during head coach Art Briles' tenure... It also marked the ninth straight game that the Cougars reached that total dating back to the 2006 AutoZone Liberty Bowl.... The Cougars improved to 28-14 (.667) since 2003 when recording at least 400 yards of total offense.

    ** With 522 yards of total offense (214 pass, 306 rush), the Cougars recorded at least 500 yards of total offense for the 20th time during head coach Art Briles' tenure... The Cougars improved to 13-7 (.650) since 2003 when recording at least 500 yards of total offense.

    INDIVIDUAL NOTES
    ** With five receptions, senior wide receiver Donnie Avery extended his streak of games with at least one reception to 29 consecutive games, the 11th-longest streak among active players... Avery has not played a game without recording at least once reception since facing Tulane on Oct. 8, 2005.

    ** With 204 rushing yards, senior running back Anthony Alridge moved past 2,000 yards during his collegiate career, becoming the 12th Cougar to reach that milestone... Alridge finished the game with 2,061 rushing yards during his career to rank 12th in UH career history... Up next in the UH records book is Jackie Battle, who rushed for 2,120 yards from 2002 to 2006.

    ** With 204 rushing yards, senior running back Anthony Alridge moved past 1,000 yards during the 2007 season.. Alridge finished the game with 1,063 rushing yards to date this season... It was the first time during his career that he reached that milestone... It also was the 22nd time in UH history that a player recorded at least 1,000 rushing yards in a season.

    ** With 204 rushing yards, senior running back Anthony Alridge recorded his fifth 100-yard rushing game of 2007 and the ninth of his career... The Cougars improved to 7-2 (.778) during games in which Alridge reaches triple digits in rushing yards.

    ** With 204 rushing yards, senior running back Anthony Alridge recorded his fourth consecutive game with at least 100 rushing yards... Alridge became the first player since Anthony Evans (Nov. 8-29, 2003) to reach triple digits in four straight games.

    ** With 204 rushing yards, senior running back Anthony Alridge recorded his third 200-yard rushing game of 2007 and the fourth of his career... The Cougars improved to 3-1 (.750) when Alridge rushed for at least 200 yards.

    ** With 204 rushing yards, senior running back Anthony Alridge recorded the fourth 200-yard rushing game of his career to tie Paul Gipson (1967-68) for the most in UH career history.

    ** With nine 100-yard rushing yard games during his career, senior running back Anthony Alridge into a tie for seventh place with Antowain Smith (1995-96) and Jim Strong (1968-69) in UH career history... Up next in the UH records book is Gene Shannon, who posted 10 100-yard rushing games from 1949-51.

    ** With two rushing touchdowns, redshirt freshman quarterback Case Keenum tied his career high... He equaled his mark set against Colorado State on Sept. 22, 2007.

    ** With 72 rushing yards, redshirt freshman quarterback Case Keenum set a personal best, topping his previous high of 57 yards against Colorado State on Sept. 22, 2007.

    ** With two field goals, senior kicker T.J. Lawrence recorded the third multi-field goal game of the 2007 season and his career.

    ** With two field goals, senior kicker T.J. Lawrence tied his career high... He equaled his mark set at Tulane (Sept. 15, 2007) and at Oregon (Sept. 1, 2007).

    ** First Starts: Redshirt freshman wide receiver L.J. Castile made his first career start.
