    • The 7-1 start marks the best eight-game start since 2011 when the Cougars began 8-0. The 4-0 American Athletic Conference record is also the team's best four-game league start since the 2011 season and keeps Houston in a tie for first place with UCF.

    • Houston's overall record improves to 395-342-15 all-time.

    • Houston has scored in all 32 quarters this season and now has 39 straight quarters with a score, dating back to Nov. 17, 2012 at Marshall.

    • Houston is the only FBS team to score in every quarter this season.

    • The Houston offense has had scoring drives of two minutes or less on 22 occasions this season and 10 under one minute or less, with the quickest of the night coming on a 33-second drive following a 48 yard reception by Deontay Greenberry.

    • Houston has outscored opponents 254-53 in the second half as opposed to outscoring the opposition just 172-120 in the first half.

    • Houston's second scoring drive of the game was the longest drive in terms of yardage this season at 93 yards, while it marked the second-longest drive of the year in terms of time at 4:52.     • Sophomore receiver Deontay Greenberry notched his second straight game with a touchdown reception over 48 yards.

    • Greenberry has now scored a touchdown in six of Houston's eight games this season.

    • Went over 100+ yards receiving for the second straight game and fifth time this season.

    • Houston is 5-0 when Greenberry notches 100-yards or more receiving.

    • Greenberry ties Jeremy Johnson from SMU in The American with five 100-yard receiving games this season wtih his 106 yard game tonight.

    Kenneth Farrow
    • Sophomore running back Kenneth Farrow notched his second career receiving touchdown and first of the season to put Houston up 14-0 in the first quarter.

    • Farrow went on to put Houston up 35-23 with his 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for his first career game with a rushing and receiving score in the same game.

    Xavier Maxwell
    • Senior wide receiver Xavier Maxwell recorded his fourth touchdown of the year and sixth of his career on a six-yard pass by freshman John O'Korn to put Houston up 7-0 in the first quarter.

    Demarcus Ayers
    • Freshman receiver Demarcus Ayers recorded a career-long 30-yard reception by freshman quarterback Greg Ward Jr. to set up Houston's third scoring drive and first of the second quarter.

    • Ayers moves into sixth place all-time for most kick return yards in a season after 124 tonight, totaling 642. He trails Tyron Carrier's (2011) 756 yards for fifth place by 114 yards.

    Derrick Mathews
    • Junior linebacker Derrick Mathews recorded his fourth sack of the year for a loss of five yards and 29 total yards late in the first half. The sack was the 11th of his career.

    Trevon Stewart
    • Sophomore safety Trevon Stewart notched his third interception on the year with under two minutes left in the game.

    • Stewart tallied 10 tackles for second-most on the team behind Efrem Oliphant's 13. The 10 marks the third game of the year with double-digit tackles and ninth of his career.

    Steven Taylor
    • Redshirt freshman linebacker Steven Taylor recorded his first career solo sack for a loss of 11 yards to force a long second down and eventually a USF punt with under six minutes to play.

    Ryan Jackson
    • Sophomore running back Ryan Jackson notched his first touchdown since the Sept. 21 game vs. Rice on his 6-yard run set up by freshman quarterback Greg Ward Jr. to put Houston up 21-10 in the second quarter.

    Efrem Oliphant
    • Junior linebacker Efrem Oliphant notched his fourth double-digit tackle effort this season for a team-high and seventh of his career with his team-leading 13 tackles vs. USF.

    Tyus Bowser
    • Freshman defensive end Tyus Bowser recorded his first career forced fumble following his 4.5th sack this season - an 8-yard loss and recovered by teammate Jeremiah Farley.

    Jeremiah Farley
    • Junior defensive tackle Jeremiah Farley tallied his first career fumble recovery late in the fourth.
