    POSTGAME NOTES
** With his first-quarter catch of four yards, junior wide receiver Vincent Marshall extended his reception streak to 22 straight games dating back to the 2003 Rice season opener. He has a catch in every game of his career.

** Junior running back Anthony Evans rushed for 156 yards, marking the second time this season and the seventh time in his career that he rushed for 100 yards during his UH career... With his seventh 100-yard rushing effort, Evans tied Terald Clark, Nat "Puddin" Jones and Leonard Parker for 10th place all-time in this area.

** The second-quarter touchdown reception (35 yards) by junior tight end Blade Bassler was the first touchdown of his career... The 35-yarder also is the longest catch of his career.

** Junior safety Will Gulley recorded his second and third interceptions of the season and sixth and seventh of his career with his 24-yard pickoff in the second quarter and his interception in the third quarter... Last season Gulley had two interceptions at East Carolina on September 30, 2003.

** Senior linebacker Lance Everson recorded the first interception of his career in the second quarter.

** For only the second time in his UH career (22 games), sophomore quarterback Kevin Kolb suffered a multiple interception game, throwing two against East Carolina. The only other time Kolb threw more than one interception in a game came on December 25, 2003, against Hawai'i in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl when he was picked off twice.

** Freshman running back Harold Taylor established a career high with five catches for 100 yards... His previous high was two catches for two yards versus Tulane on October 30, 2004... Taylor's 49-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter was the first score and longest reception of his career.

** With his 100-yard receiving game, freshman running back Harold Taylor became the first running back since September 5, 1992, to have a 100-yard receiving game. TiAndre Sanders had 111 yards on five receptions at Tulsa.

** With his 251 yards passing, quarterback Kevin Kolb moved past Jimmy Klingler (5,243 yards, 1991-93) into sole possession of fifth place all time in passing yards. Kolb now has 5,326 yards during his career.

** With his 2-yard, third-quarter touchdown run and 1-yard touchdown dive in the fourth quarter, Kevin Kolb now has 11 rushing touchdowns in his career, tying Danny Davis (1976-78) for sixth place all-time for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.

** With two touchdowns passing and two touchdowns rushing, quarterback Kevin Kolb now has been responsible for 45 touchdowns in his UH career, moving into fifth-place all-time... Up next in the UH records book is Jason McKinley who was responsible for 47 touchdowns from 1997-00.

** With 14 receiving yards, wide receiver Vincent Marshall saw his streak of four consecutive 100-yard receiving games snapped.

** With four PATs, kicker Dustin Bell tied with Elmo Wright for fourth place in career history with 216 points scored... Up next in the UH records book is Chuck Weatherspoon who compiled 224 points from 1987-90.
