    TEAM NOTES
    ** With 32 points, the Cougars scored in their 115th consecutive game... The Cougars have not been shut out since a 48-0 loss at Texas on Sept. 23, 2000.

    ** The Cougars fell to 126-99-4 (.550) all-time when playing in the month of November.

    ** The Cougars fell to 3-4 (.429) all-time when playing on Nov. 14... The Cougars lost their third straight game when playing on Nov. 14... Houston has not won on Nov. 14 since a 28-0 win against Wyoming inside the Houston Astrodome.


    AS A RANKED TEAM
    ** The Cougars fell to 88-34-3 (.716) all-time when ranked in the Associated Press poll.

    ** The Cougars fell to 7-1 (.857) when ranked at No. 13 in the Associated Press poll.

    ** Saturday's game was the second straight week that the Cougars were ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press poll.

    ** With 149 receiving yards, sophomore wide receiver Tyron Carrier recorded his fourth 100-yard receiving games in 2009.

    ** With 149 receiving yards, sophomore wide receiver Tyron Carrier recorded the ninth 100-yard receiving games of his career... The Cougars are 5-4 (.556) during games in which Carrier reaches triple digits.

    ** Senior cornerback Carson Blackmon recorded the first interception of his career around the 1:50 mark of the third quarter.

    ** Junior cornerback Devin Mays' 100-yard kickoff return around the 6:51 mark of the second quarter tied for the longest kickoff return and play in Houston history... It equaled kickoff returns by Donnie Avery (vs. East Carolina, Sept. 29, 2007), Ricky Wilson (vs. Louisville, Nov. 22, 2003) and Ronnie Powledge (vs. Detroit, Nov. 2, 1963).

    ** Junior cornerback Devin Mays' 100-yard kickoff return around the 6:51 mark of the second quarter was the first of his career... It also was the third kickoff return for a touchdown by the Cougars this season... Sophomore wide receiver Tyron Carrier has two kickoff return scores.

    ** Junior cornerback Devin Mays became the second player in 2009 to return a kickoff return for a touchdown... Sophomore wide receiver Tyron Carrier returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in games against Conference USA rival SMU (Oct. 24, 2009) and at Tulsa (Nov. 7, 2009)... This is the first time in school history that two players have returned kickoffs for touchdown in the same season.

    ** Junior cornerback Devin Mays' 100-yard kickoff return around the 6:51 mark of the second quarter was the first of his career... It also was the third kickoff return for a touchdown by the Cougars this season... Sophomore wide receiver Tyron Carrier has two kickoff return scores.

    ** With his blocked PAT at the 8:51 mark of the third quarter, junior wide receiver L.J. Castile recorded his third team-leading blocked kick of the 2009 season.

    ** With two field goals, redshirt freshman kicker Matt Hogan now has made each of the first nine field goals in his career.

    ** With his 33-yard field goal at the 9:18 mark of the third quarter, redshirt freshman kicker Matt Hogan booted a field goal in his fourth consecutive game.

    ** With two field goals, redshirt freshman kicker Matt Hogan recorded his third straight game with multiple field goals... He booted two field goals against Conference USA-rival Southern Miss on Oct. 31, 2009 and four at Conference USA-rival Tulsa on Nov. 7, 2009.

    ** Redshirt freshman kicker Matt Hogan saw his streak of 18 consecutive PATs made snapped at the 3:39 mark of the fourth quarter.


    KEENUM IN THE C-USA RECORDS BOOK
    ** With 377 passing yards, junior quarterback Case Keenum moved into third place in Conference USA history... Keenum now has 11,471 yards during his career... Up next in the C-USA records book is Louisville's Chris Redman, who threw for 12,541yards from 1996 to 1999.

    ** With three touchdowns responsible for, junior quarterback Case Keenum moved into third place in Conference USA history... Keenum now has 108 touchdowns responsible for during his career... Up next in the C-USA records book is Tulsa's Paul Smith, who accounted for 125 touchdowns from 2005 to 2007.

    ** With 385 yards of total offense (377 pass, 8 rush), junior quarterback Case Keenum moved into second place in Conference USA history... Keenum now has 12,207 yards of total offense (11,471 pass, 736 rush) during his career... Up next in the Conference USA records book is Houston's Kevin Kolb, who set a league record with 13,715 yards (12,964 pass, 751 rush) of total offense from 2003 to 2006.

    ** With 61 plays, junior quarterback Case Keenum moved into seventh place in Conference USA history... Keenum now has 1,601 plays during his career... Up next in the Conference USA records book is East Carolina's David Garrard, who competed in 1,685 plays from 1998 to 2001.

    ** With 56 passing attempts, junior quarterback Case Keenum moved into seventh place in Conference USA history... Keenum now has 1,376 attempts during his career... Up next in the C-USA records book is Rice's Chase Clement, who threw 1,387 passes from 2005 to 2008.


    KEENUM IN THE HOUSTON RECORDS BOOK
    ** With three touchdowns responsible for, junior quarterback Case Keenum set a Houston career record... Keenum now has 108 touchdowns responsible for during his career... Keenum moved past Kevin Kolb, who accounted for 106 touchdowns from 2003 to 2006.
