Vanderbilt ends their second-half scoring drought with a string of wildcat rusehes on the drive covering 34, 12 and 21 yards for the score.

Adrian McDonald grabs his sixth interception of the year and the Cougars force third turnover of the game - second interception.

We are tied up at 24-24! Deontay Greenberry wide open on a slant and goes 67 yards for the score.

Career-long 59-yard pass to Markeith Ambles sets up Kyle Bullard's chipshot field goal. Cougars have scored 17 points this quarter, the hightest third quarter total of the year.

Daniel Spencer rips off a 62-yard rush, Houston's longest of the season to set up Houston on first-and-goal.

Markeith Ambles makes his first touchdown catch as a Cougar to cut the lead down to 24-14.

Three-and-out forced by the UH defense. Cougars with the ball at their own 14.

Touchdown, Houston! Points on the board for the Cougars as turnovers leads to a score. Tomme Mark forces a fumble and William Jackson recovers. Next play, Kenneth Farrow rumbles into the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown run.

Houston grabs a first down on the first play of the second half but end up trading punts with Vanderbilt. UH with the ball at midfield, best starting field position of the day for the Cougars.

End of the first half. Houston trailing 24-0.

Zach McMillian grabs his fifth interception of the year and the Cougars 24th of the year. This one in the UH end zone.

Inexcusable penalty leads to a touchdown after Houston stops Vanderbilt on third down. Next play, 50-yard touchdown pass.

Vanderbilt goes 84 yards on seven plays taking 2:51 off the clock and caps the drive with a 24-yard field goal. Jordan Matthews with a big 39-yard catch on third down to put Vanderbiilt in a position for the kick.

Vanderbilt's quarterback Patton Robinnette runs it in for an 8-yard touchdown on fourth down.

Turnover by Houston on their own 16-yard line.

Cougars with their third three-and-out on offense to start the game but force Vanderbilt into the same fate on their possesion.

Joey Mbu applies pressure on the third-and-long play to force a three-and-out. After a UH personal foul, the Cougars start the drive on their own 12.

Jordan Matthews takes a bubble screen 50-yards for the first points of the day for the game. Vanderbilt leads 7-0.

Houston forces a punt on Vanderbilt's first series after one first down and then goes three-and-out on their opening drive. 55-yard punt by Leone, 9th longest punt in Houston bowl history.
