Football Walk On Tryouts Set For February 24
Feb. 8, 2005 HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Houston football program will conduct walk on tryouts on Thursday, February 24, at 2 pm in the Athletics/Alumni Center. This will be the only time tryouts will be conducted. All potential walk ons will be required to attend a compliance meeting on Monday, February 14, at 2 pm, and all pertinent paperwork must be turned in to the football ofice no later than Friday, February 18. All walk-on participants must be enrolled in 12 or more hours at the University of Houston, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.25 and have two years of high school or junior college football experience. Also, each participant must have two letters of recommendation and have at least two years of eligibility remaining. A highlight tape is highly recommended.
