Houston Football Stadium Final Seat Selection Ranking
Feb. 13, 2014
HOUSTON -The final ranking for the 2014 Houston Football Seat Selection process is set. Members of Cougar Pride, Houston Football season ticket holders and fans who placed 2014 season ticket deposits will begin selecting their new seats utilizing an online 3D model of the stadium beginning in April, the University of Houston Athletics Department announced Thursday.
Supporters will receive 2014 Seat Selection Rankings via email from Cougar Pride this week and standard mail next week.
Houston has partnered with Ballena Technologies to provide an online seating system using a 3D model of the Houston Football Stadium. Used by a number of professional and collegiate organizations, Ballena Technologies’ system will allow users to virtually enter the stadium to compare views and select available seats. The online 3D stadium model will be available to view on a trial basis for a two-week period leading up to the beginning of the Select-a-Seat process.
Cougar Pride will release an exclusive seat selection appointment date and time to account holders in March and appointment times for selection begin in April. At the appointment time, the fan’s account is open for selection and will remain open until a purchase is made. Cougar Pride recommends selecting seats at the specific date and time to ensure best possible location. If an account holder cannot select at their date and time, Cougar Pride suggests allowing a proxy to select in person or making additional arrangements with Cougar Pride prior to the Select-a-Seat date. Cougar Pride needs to be notified by email if an account holder plans on sending a proxy in his/her place to select the seats in person.
Deposits for 2014 season tickets are still being accepted and those who have placed deposits after Dec. 20 or have yet to place deposits will have the opportunity to select a seat following the conclusion of select a seat appointments for those who made their deposits prior to Dec. 20. Orders from after Dec. 20 will be served on a first-come, first served basis.
