Houston, Texas - The 2012 Houston Football Red & White Game is quickly approaching and Head Coach Tony Levine and his Cougars would like to remind fans of a number of activities surrounding the Friday evening event. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. and is free to the general public.
Below are some helpful tips as you prepare for the final Spring Football Game in Robertson Stadium History!
Tickets to the April 13 Red & White Spring Game are free to the public. Game time is 7 p.m. at Robertson Stadium.
Parking and Gates
Fans attending on Friday are encouraged to park in Lots 12A and 12B. Tailgating will be allowed in these lots. In addition, the Robertson Stadium Gates will open at 6 p.m.
Fans bringing RV's to the game will be allowed to park overnight (Friday evening to Saturday morning only). Gates 1, 4 and 7 will be open for entry into the stadium and no outside food or beverage will be allowed through the gates.
"H" Association Tailgate
Calling all former football players and "H" Association Members... There will be a special tailgate for you starting Friday at 5 p.m. The event will be held at the H Pavilion and former Cougar players are encouraged to bring their families and spread the word to their former teammates.
Be on the look out for the new Houston logo as you enter Robertson Stadium. Merchandise tents will be selling official 2012 Houston Football Game Day gear, featuring this updated look. Houston will be wearing helmets that feature the new decal at the game, but more exciting "uniform" announcements will be coming later this summer!
Houston Athletics and Coke will be giving away T-Shirts featuring the new "Logo" as you enter Robertson Stadium. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a free T-Shirt. These shirts will be passed out at Gates 1, 4 and 7.
Fans are encouraged to sit on the west side of Robertson Stadium. Restrooms and concession stands, along with merchandise stands will be located on the west side of the facility.
The 2012 Spring Game will be run and scored like a regular-season game. There will be two 15-minute quarters in the first half (regular clock stoppages), a 10-minute halftime and two 15-minute running-clock quarters in the second half.
