HOUSTON - The Houston Football program hosts its annual Spring Game this Friday at 7 p.m. at Carl Lewis Field. Admission to the event is free with gates opening at 6 p.m.
Following the game, a free 30-minute autograph session will be held for Houston fans inside the Athletics/Alumni Center.
The game is one of two events happening in the vicinity as the Houston Baseball team takes on Seton Hall at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the game is just $5 with free re-entry to Cougar Field allowed with a ticket stub enabling fans to move between the baseball and spring games.
Free parking for the events opens at 4 p.m. and will be located in UH lots 16B, 16C, 16D, 16E, 18A and 18B with tailgating allowed in lot 16D. Trash cans, hot coal containers and port-o-potties will be available in 16D for tailgaters, as all other lots will be used for parking only.
Aramark Concessions will be operating inside the gates of Carl Lewis Field with a variety of items including alcohol while the UH Fan Shop will be open just outside the gates of Carl Lewis Field. For Houston's younger fans, a Kids Zone will be open from 6-8:30 p.m. in the northeast corner of the facility
Representatives from the Houston Athletics Ticket Office will also be on site Friday night accepting season ticket deposits for the 2013 season. A $75 per seat deposit will place those putting down deposits in the best available season ticket location after current season tickets are renewed.
The 2013 Houston team returns 29 players with starting experience including 81.6 percent of its total offense, 89.2 percent of its receiving yards and 97.5 percent of its rushing yards from 2012.
