    June 4, 2014

HOUSTON -Kickoff for Houston-BYU in Provo, Utah, an ESPN nationally-televised game on Sept. 11, has been set for 8 p.m. CT, The American Athletic Conference and ESPN announced Wednesday.

The two teams will meet for just the second time as BYU claimed a tightly-contested 47-46 win over UH in a 2013 meeting at Reliant Stadium. The nationally-televised ESPNews game featured a back-and-forth affair with BYU scoring in the game's final two minutes to escape Houston with a victory.

Two of the nation's most experienced teams, UH welcomes back 28 student-athletes with starting experience while BYU welcomes back 34 players who have started in the past.

The first road game of the 2014 season will mark Houston's second-ever trip to the state of Utah. The Cougars defeated Utah, 34-16, in Salt Lake City on Sept. 24, 1977.

Houston opens the 2014 season at 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29, when it hosts UTSA in the first ever game in the Houston Football Stadium.

Houston fans can guarantee a place in history by purchasing season tickets for the first ever season in the new Houston Football Stadium. Season tickets are currently on sale starting at just $140 as are Memorial Hermann Family Plan four-pack season tickets, two adult and two youth, for just $299.
