HOUSTON - Head coach Kevin Sumlin, senior tight end Mark Hafner and senior defensive end Phillip Hunt will represent the University of Houston Football team this weekend during the C-USA Football Media Blitz presented by AutoZone and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

The trio will discuss the 2008 season with a wide range of media representatives from across the country, beginning Sunday morning at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn.

All three also will be a part of an exclusive live broadcast by CBS College Sports. The show airs at 3 p.m., Sunday with hosts Carter Blackburn and Trev Alberts and will give fans a preview of the 2008 C-USA football season, featuring interviews with all 12 coaches and select players from each team.

The live show will be available for free at UHCougars.com or clicking here.

Following the Media Blitz program, CBS College Sports Network will air the Conference USA Spring Highlight Show - beginning at 5:30 p.m. - a comprehensive round-up of all the action from the spring Championship season.

Hafner and Hunt will join other C-USA players Monday morning on a trip to visit young patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital before returning to Houston later in the day.

Sumlin enters his first season with the UH program after a stellar career as an assistant coach at Oklahoma. During his stint with OU, the Sooners compiled a 54-13 record with four appearances in BCS bowl games.

Hafner was the team's third leading receiver in yards and touchdown catches a year ago and is expected to be an important part of the offense in 2008. With 128 receiving yards against C-USA rival Marshall in 2007, he compiled the first 100-yard receiving game by a Cougar tight end in nearly 25 years.

Hunt has been a leader on the defensive line for the last three years and joined senior safety Kenneth Fontenette on the Preseason All-Conference USA Team. In 2007, he topped the Cougars in tackles for loss, sacks and pass breakups while being named to the All-Conference USA First Team.

Earlier in the preseason, he was named to both the Lombardi Award and Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists.
