Single Game Tickets Available at Fan Appreciation Day

HOUSTON - Houston Football fans attending Saturday’s Fan Appreciation Day at the Houston Athletics/Alumni Center will have the first public opportunity to purchase single-game tickets for any of Houston’s seven home games this season, prior to single-game tickets going on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The early release of single-game tickets will be in person only at Fan Appreciation Day at the east end of Yeoman Fieldhouse inside the Athletics/Alumni Center with no phone sales available on Saturday.

While single-game tickets are available Saturday to Fan Appreciation Day attendees and beginning to everyone on Tuesday, Houston fans are encouraged to save and purchase 2014 season tickets now. Reserved bleacher season tickets are just $200 ($28.57 per game) while the premium bleacher season sections are priced at $225 ($32.14 per game) and $250 ($35.71 per game), respectively). General admission season tickets are just $140 ($20 per game). Fans can secure their season tickets here.

“Although we welcome single-game ticket sales, we highly encourage Houston Football fans to purchase season tickets as we grow our season ticket base and show national TV audiences, potential student-athletes and other programs that the University of Houston is a premier institution, both athletically and academically,” UH Senior Associate AD for External Relations Jeramiah Dickey said.

Reserved bleacher single-game tickets for all seven games start at $36 with single game tickets in the premium bleachers priced at $40 (sections 101-102, 116-117, 225-226, 232-233, 307, 309) and $45 (sections 103, 115, 125-126, 227, 231, 308). General admission single-game tickets can be purchased for $25.

Coaches and players from the Houston Football, Soccer and Volleyball programs will be available at Fan Appreciation Day during the two-hour time period for autograph signings, photos and to help run the Cougar Youth Experience where Houston’s younger fans will have the opportunity to compete in individual athletic drills much like today’s student-athletes. Due to NCAA regulations, the Cougar Youth Experience is only available for those in eighth grade or younger.

2014 Houston Football season ticket members will have the first opportunity to receive the autographs they covet as at each of the autograph stations, a season ticket rmember fast lane will be in use for the 4:25 p.m. start. Those fans without season tickets at each station will begin collecting autographs after the initial season ticket member fast lane has emptied.

Houston Football will open its first practice of the season at 6 p.m. at the Houston Football practice fields following Fan Appreciation Day. Bleacher seating will be provided for 2014 Houston Football season ticket members. Fans are allowed to bring their own folding chairs and umbrellas. No outside food or drink will be allowed at either of the events.

Parking for the event will be available in lots 16C and 16D located across Cullen Blvd. from the Athletics/Alumni Center and the TDECU Stadium parking garage located at the intersection of Cullen Blvd. and Holman St.

Houston fans can guarantee a place in history by purchasing season tickets for the first season in the new TDECU Stadium. Season tickets are currently on sale starting at just $140 as are Memorial Hermann Family Plan four-pack season tickets, two adult and two youth, for just $299. Lower-level reserved season tickets start at just $200.

Houston opens the 2014 season at 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29, when it hosts UTSA in the first game in TDECU Stadium.

For those Houston fans who are unable to make it to TDECU Stadium all season, three-game mini plans are available for purchase for $99.

The three-game mini plans give Houston Football fans two options - the opening game of TDECU Stadium vs. UTSA on Friday, Aug. 29, and any other two games this season, except for the Oct. 2 game vs. UCF, or the aforementioned Oct. 2 game vs. UCF, the 2014 Fiesta Bowl champion, and any other two games this season with exception of the TDECU Stadium opener on Aug. 29. The remaining five games for UH fans to pick from consist of 2013 bowl game participants UNLV and Tulane along with Temple, Tulsa and Grambling State. University of Houston alumni from the last five years (2010-14) can purchase season tickets for just $125 (upper levels) and $175 (lower level) in specially designated Young Alumni sections with a multiplier of four times donations to Cougar Pride giving levels for the first five years after graduation. Each ticket consists of a $25 Cougar Pride donation with the four times Young Alumni multiplier, resulting in a $100 donation credit and a Cougar Pride parking pass in the TDECU Stadium Garage. Single-game group ticket sales for the inaugural season in TDECU Stadium are now on sale via the Houston Athletics Ticket Office.
