HOUSTON – Houston Football head coach Tony Levine announced Eric Soza as the program’s Offensive Quality Control Coach on Friday. Soza joins the Houston program following graduation from UTSA, where he started at quarterback for three seasons for the Roadrunners.

Soza finished his career at UTSA as the program’s all-time leading passer as well as the all-time leader in rushing attempts and rushing touchdowns.

For his athletic and academic success in 2013, Soza was named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and was one of 16 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athletes.

A native of Beeville, Texas, Soza played high school football under his father, Chris, at Beeville Jones High School, where he totaled 8,052 passing yards and 86 touchdowns, accompanying 1,598 rushing yards and 29 rushing touchdowns in his career.

Soza married his wife Audrey in January, 2014, and the couple resides in Houston.
