HOUSTON, Texas - On August 20, 2008 the University of Houston Athletics Department and Southern University Athletics Department will gather at GROOVES RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE in Houston to celebrate the first-ever match up between these two great football programs. On August 30, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. the Cougars and the Jaguars will face off at Robertson Stadium at the University of Houston.

The game will feature a special half-time performance by both world renowned bands--- The Spirit of Houston and The Southern Marching Band. Cougar faithful and Southern University alumni are encouraged to come out and show your colors and spirit!
