UTSA Game Cancelled

Sept. 6, 2017

HOUSTON -- Officials from The University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Houston agreed on Wednesday that the previously postponed game between the two schools will not be made up this season.

Following recovery from Hurricane Harvey, administrators from both universities will work together to reschedule the game for a date in a future year. This game is part of a four-game series that calls for two home contests for each program. UTSA and Houston will face off again on Sept. 3, 2022, at TDECU Stadium in Houston, on Sept. 2, 2023, at the Alamodome and on Aug. 31, 2024, back in Houston.

All tickets will be refunded and ticket holders do not need to do anything to receive a refund. Detailed information on this process will be disseminated by the UTSA Ticket Office to all ticket holders.

Houston opens its season this Saturday, Sept. 9, at Arizona. The game will kick off at 9:30 p.m. CT and air on ESPNU. Radio coverage of the game will be on KPRC 950 AM with the pregame show starting at 8:30 p.m. CT.
