Football Announces Plans for Unused, Paid Air Force Tickets
Sept. 22, 2008
HOUSTON - Fans of the University of Houston football team who were unable to use their tickets for the Air Force game last weekend due to Hurricane Ike have been offered options, director of athletics Dave Maggard announced Monday morning. Hurricane Ike forced the Cougars' scheduled home game against Air Force to be moved to Gerald J. Ford Stadium on the SMU campus in Dallas on Sept. 13. Fans who were unable to make that trip and wish to return their unused, paid Air Force tickets have options from which to choose. 1 - Fans can receive a donation credit equal to the amount paid for the Air Force tickets. Fans who choose this option will not receive Cougar Pride credit but will receive a tax receipt for the donation. 2 - Fans can use a 1-for-1 exchange of any unused, paid Air Force tickets for any remaining regular-season home football games. Option 2 is based on availability and must be redeemed in advance and not on game day. Fans wishing to take advantage of these offers must return all unused, paid tickets for the Air Force game to the UH Athletics Ticket Office by the end of November. Tickets must be returned by the ticket holder of record.
