We're final in San Antonio with Houston pulling away to win 59-28 and improve to 4-0 on the year.


William Jackson puts the exclamation mark with a 96-yard interception return for a touchdown.


Justin Hicks runs nearly untouched for a 15-yard score. Second score of the season for the walk on running back from Channelview, Texas. 17 points from turnovers for UH.

Zach McMillian is the beneficary after UTSA fumble - senior CB picks up the fumble after Turon Walker creates his first focred turnover of the year. UH ball on UTSA's 15 with 3:15 left.


William Jackson punches the ball loose and the Third Ward defense forces their third take away of the fourth quarter. That's 12 takeaways and +9 turnover margin for UH this year.


John O'Korn finds Deontay Greenberry all alone in the end zone and Houston goes up 45-28 with 7:12 left in the game. Greenberry with nine catches for 149 yards after that 20-yard strike. Turnover by the defense led to the scoring drive.


Back-to-back interceptions give Houston their 12th straight game with multiple turnovers forced. Trevon Stewart makes the leaping interception.

Leone's 25-yard FG attempt hits the left post and UTSA takes over down 38-28 with 9:13 left in the game.


B.J. Singleton making huge plays today by picking off a screen attempt by UTSA. His first career interception. Efrem Oliphant forcing the pressure and creates Houston's first turnover of the day.

With Xavier Maxwell's TD, Houston has scored in all 16 quarters this season.

Xavier Maxwell catches a touchdown off a deflection to put UH back up by 10. His second touchdown catch of the game and his second money play (first down/touchdown) of the drive.



Glasco's two-yard touchdown plunge stands after review, UH leads by three after the Roadrunners' scoring answer.

B.J. Singleton blocks a kick for the second-straight week and Brandon Wilson scoops and scores from 78 yards out. Huge 10-point swing for your Houston Cougars.

Two huge plays move UH 51 yards. Nifty screen after several play-action moves springs Jackson for 27 and then a flea flicker to Greenberry for 24 more. Greenberry goes over 100 yards on his sixth catch, third straigh 100+ yard game.

Cougars settle for a field goal on this drive as Richie Leone imrpoves to 9-for-11 on kicks this year.

Markeith Ambles slowly working his way into more snaps with UH. Has first punt and kick return this game.

John O'Korn scrambles for 13 on 3rd-and-12 and picks up a tough first down. Comes out of the game after taking a shot on the play, Greg Ward time.

Last time Cougars were tied at halftime 21-21 was at UTEP (Sept. 29, 2011). UH went on to win 49-42.



UTSA goes 75 yards in 1:12 to tie the game up at 21-21. UH will have 1:18 left to work with - more than what the Cougars had last week against Rice, with all three time outs.


John O'Korn throws the ball behind Xavier Maxwell but Maxwell makes a great adjustment on the throw and Houston goes up 21-14. Maxwell's first touchdown of the year.


Eric Soza ties up the game with a one-yard touchdown run.

Greg Ward enters the game and promptly rushes for his first career TD, a 6-yard TD run.

Houston defense was jacked up following Bamfo's hit and gives the offense the ball back with a 3-and-out.


George Bamfo has claimed the hit of the game with 1:30 in the opening quarter on his decleater off the kickoff return by UTSA.

Joh O'Korn finds Ryan Jackson coming straight up the middle out of the backfield and places it perfectly for Jackson to make his second receiving touchdown of the year.


UH opening drive stalls on the UTSA 30-yard line. O'Korn flushed out of the pocket and helped swing field position after finding Deontay Greenberry on a 42-yard strike.

UTSA goes up 7-0 off a 12-yard touchdown pass to Roadrunners Kam Jones off 3-and-5.

Alamdome, field level:

Houston busting out the all-white uniform combination for today. Any resemblance to Stroomtroopers is ofset by the Cougars 1-0 record (at Temple) in the all whites while the imperial forces were a dysmal 0-3.
