HOUSTON--Cougar Talk, presented by Capital One, will not air Wednesday. The University of Houston football team is off this weekend and will return to action Thursday, Oct. 9 against UAB.

The next Cougar Talk show will air on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from Irma's Southwest Grille at 1314 Texas @ Austin from 7-8 p.m. The show is aired on 790 AM the Sports Animal with Tom Franklin.

Fans can submit a question via the "Ask Coach Sumlin" button on www.UHCougars.com to be read live on the air each week.

Football returns to action Thursday, Oct. 9 at Robertson Stadium when they take on Conference USA rival UAB at 7 p.m.

Fans can hear the game live on 790 AM The Sports Animal, with Franklin calling the play-by-play action, Ted Pardee providing color analysis and Chuck Brown handling reports from the sideline.

Thursday's game will be televised live on CBS College Sports (DirecTV channel 613/Dish Network 152) with Carter Blackburn calling the play-by-play action and Aaron Taylor providing color analysis.
