HOUSTON - Kickoff time for Houston-Rutgers on Oct. 26 has been set for 11 a.m. CST and the game will air on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews or on ESPN Regional affiliates as The American Game of the Week, league officials announced Monday. Network TV selection for the game will be announced following games on Oct. 19.
The two teams have never met as Houston travels to Piscataway, N.J. for its third American Conference game of the season. The Cougars are 2-0 in the league with a 22-13 win at Temple on Sept. 7 and a 25-15 home win over Memphis last Saturday.
Houston looks to remain undefeated and move to 6-0 as it returns to action at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, taking on BYU at Reliant Stadium. The game marks Houston's final non-conference game of the season.
Houston currently sits atop The American standings with an overall record of 5-0 and a league record of 2-0 while BYU enters Saturday's game with a 4-2 record and riding a three-game winning streak.
Houston fans can purchase three-game mini-plan packages beginning at $95. Fans can purchase a mini plan for a ticket to three of the four following home games -Oct. 19 vs. BYU, Oct. 31 vs. USF, Nov. 23 vs. Cincinnati and Nov. 29 vs. SMU. Packages start at just $95 for a selection from games involving USF, Cincinnati and SMU. For packages involving Houston's game vs. BYU, the price is set at $105.
