Thomas Bates picks off his second pass of the game to give him two multiple-interception games of his career. That's the 5th game this year for the Cougar defense with at least three turnovers.

HALFTIME, PHEW. That first half took 1:59.

72 points combined points is the second-most in school history. (1989, Houston 59, SMU 14).

Unbelievable play on 3rd-and-22. John O'Korn scrambles, locates Daniel Spencer and the junior wide receiver does the rest. Cutting acorss the field and letting his blockers do their work.

Derrick Mathews with a pick-six! Mathews takes it in 29-yards to give Houston the lead.

Greg Ward avoids pressure, scrambles, and heaves it downfield to Xavier Maxwell for a 68-yard touchdown pass. Great efforts by Ward and Maxwell to adjust to the scramble drill and Maxwell had to contort his body to make the catch. Three play
