HOUSTON - Student-guest tickets for the 12th-ranked University of Houston football team's final two regular-season home games will go on sale Monday morning.

In the past, student-guest tickets have not been made available for purchase until the week of the game. However, with the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, Athletics Ticket Office officials elected to make the Rice student-guest tickets available as well Monday for students' convenience.

"The atmosphere around Robertson Stadium has been fun and exciting all season long, and our students are a big reason for that," Houston assistant athletics director for ticket operations Mike Rea said. "Our students give us a tremendous home-field advantage, and we know they will support the team for the final two regular-season games."

Students with valid Cougar Cards can purchase guest tickets, beginning at 8 a.m., Monday, at the Athletics Ticket Office on the first floor of the Athletics/Alumni Center. Students can buy up to four guest tickets for each of the remaining home games.

STUDENT ORGANIZATION ATTENDANCE CONTEST
As the Cougars prepare for their final two home games, students have a chance to win prizes for the on-campus organization, the Marketing Office announced Tuesday afternoon.

The student organization with the biggest reported turnout for the Cougars' game against Conference USA-rival Memphis at noon, Nov. 21 will win a suite at one men's basketball game and pizza for those students from their organization that attended the football game.

Student groups in attendance at the Memphis football game must sign in at Game Day Central at Gate 1 to be eligible.

Student groups that would like to participate should contact Houston assistant athletics director of marketing and promotions Sean Randall at srandall@central.uh.edu.

ABOUT THE COUGARS
The Cougars enjoyed a thrilling 46-45 win at C-USA rival Tulsa on Saturday in one of the most memorable games in recent history. Trailing 45-37 with less than a minute, the Cougars pulled to within two points on James Cleveland's 1-yard touchdown catch, but the 2-point conversion went awry.

Forced into an onsides kick, the Cougars recovered the loose ball and moved 27 yards to set up redshirt freshman kicker Matt Hogan's game-winning 51-yard field goal as time expired.

With the win, the Cougars extended their winning streak to five straight games and remained in a tie with SMU atop the C-USA West Division.
