CBSC Broadcast of Houston-Rice Showdown To Be Available Online

• Houston Football Gameday Central (complete game coverage) The University of Houston and CBS College Sports Network have announced that the Battle for the Bayou Bucket between the Cougars (7-4, 6-1 C-USA) and Rice (8-3, 6-1 C-USA) - both still hoping to win the Conference USA West Division - on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT will be available live and on-demand around the world via Internet video streaming as part of a special online event. Current annual subscribers to Cougar All-Access will receive the broadcast for FREE as part of their annual package. Those subscribers can just log in with their Cougar All-Access account and begin watching the game. All others can access the live video stream for a one-time payment of $14.95. Please note that monthly subscribers will have to purchase the pay-per-view. As always, monthly and annual subscribers to Cougar All-Access will be able to access live audio coverage of the game as part of their subscriptions. The game also will be broadcast nationally on CBS College Sports Network, which is channel 106 on Comcast cable in the Houston area, as well as channel 613 on DirecTV and channel 152 on Dish Network/Echostar. The online video stream of the broadcast also will be free for current annual subscribers to OwlVision All-Access (Rice's All-Access product) and to current annual subscribers to XXL - which gives fans additional access to content from schools in the CBS Interactive network across a variety of sports. The broadcast will be just one of the hundreds of events to be offered on a pay-per-view basis by CBS College Sports Network during the 2008-09 school year. Among the upcoming pay-per-views are both men's basketball games against Memphis (Jan. 31 and March 4), plus a game vs. UCF (Feb. 4) and the women's basketball contests with UCF (Jan. 25) and UTEP (Feb. 14). Additionally, select games in the league men's and women's basketball tournaments also will be pay-per-views, so annual subscribers to Cougar All-Access also would get free access to any of those that feature Houston teams.
