And that's final - Cougars deliver the first shutout in the season since 2011 (56-0, Georgia State), in a conference game (Rice, 66-0, 1989) and give SMU's head coach June Jones his first ever shutout.

Zach McMillian becomes the 4th Cougar this year to grab two interceptions in a game joining Adrian McDonald (Rutgers), Turon Walker (Rutgers) and Thomas Bates (BYU). Cougars go for it on 4th but unable to convert, SMU ball at their own 33 with 7:54 to go.

SMU drives into UH territory but turns it over on downs. UH gives it back with O'Korn's second interception of the game at the SMU 44.

Kyle Bullard remains perfect on the year with his second field goal of the game. 5-for-5 ont the year after that 27-yarder.

Ryan Jackson breaks free down the left sideline and scores a touchdown for his longest rush of the year - 37 yards.

Both offenses turn it over on downs to start the second half. UH ball on their own 41 with 10:33 left in the third quarter.

Eric Eiland picks up a fumble and returns it 62-yards to the SMU one yard line. Senior Kent Brooks punches it in from one yard. Shortest scoring drive of the year in terms of yards and time.

Turnover No. 38 on the year as Zach McMillian picks off his third pass of the year in the UH end zone. Fourth time this year UH has intercepted a pass in their own end zone. Protecting that house.

     12:05 p.m.
Houston with their first turnover of the game as John O'Korn throws an itnerception.

Greg Ward hauls in his first career touchdown catch from 19 yards out by John O'Korn. Cougars up 17-0 with 13:05 left in the half.

Zach McMillian with his second pass broken up on third down gives UH the ball at midfield following the SMU punt.

Kyle Bullard connects on a 27-yard field goal for Houston's 127th points off turnovers on the season.

Bullard is a perfect 4-for-4 on the year so far.

Adrian McDonald grabs his fifth interception of the season at the SMU 18. Turnover No. 37 of the year.

Houston defense doesn't have to do much to end that drive as SMU shoots themselves in the foot with three non-action penalties - two substitution infractions and delay of game turn into 3rd-and-20 and forced to punt afterwards.

Daniel Spencer takes it to the house for a 67-yard touchdown catch on the fisrt play from scrimmage. That didn't take long 1-play, 67 yards in 10 seconds. Second quickest drive of the year.

Zach McMillian breaks up the third-and-8 pass forcing a SMU three-and-out to start off the game. Greg Ward fair catches his first punt attempt of the year.

SMU wins the toss and elects to receive. The roof is closed today.
