Watch the Press Conference Live on Cougars All-Access (FREE!)

HOUSTON - The University of Houston Athletics Department will hold a major press conference to introduce its 11th football head coach at 12:30 p.m., Friday in the O'Quinn Great Hall of the Athletics/Alumni Center on the UH campus.

Director of athletics Dave Maggard will address members of the media and Cougar fans at that time. Fans are invited to attend the event.

Fans who cannot attend the event can watch the press conference on-line live at UHCougars.com.

The Cougars are preparing for their fourth bowl appearance during the last five seasons. UH will meet TCU at 7 p.m., Dec. 28, during the 2007 Texas Bowl at Reliant Stadium.

Fans can hear the game live on 790 AM The Sports Animal with Tom Franklin calling the play-by-play action, David Klingler and Ted Pardee providing color analysis and Chuck Brown reporting from the sideline. The pregame show is slated to begin at one hour before kickoff.

The game also will be broadcast on Westwood One Radio with Don Criqui handling the play-by-play duties and Allen Pinkett as the color analyst.

Fans also can watch the game live on the NFL Network (DirecTV channel 212 or Dish Network channel 154) with Brad Sham calling the play-by-play action, Charles Davis and Mike Mayock on analysis and Kimberly Jones on the sidelines.

This marks the sixth time during the 2007 season that the Cougars will appear on television. The Cougars have posted a 4-1 (.800) record this season in front of television audiences with wins over Colorado State and Conference USA rivals Rice, SMU and Marshall.
