REDSHIRT SENIOR (2013-14) Fall - Made his season debut at the Golfweek Conference Challenge... Led the Cougars at that tournament, thanks to consecutive 69s in the final two rounds... Tied for seventh with a score of 214... Helped lead the Cougars to the team title at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic... Finished in a tie for 27th at 221... Led the Cougars at the David Toms Intercollegiate with a sixth-place finish... Opened that tournament with an even-par 72 and closed out the event with a 71. Spring - Made his season debut at the Cougars' own Bayou City Collegiate Championship... Posted three straight rounds of par or better, including a second-round 69, to tie for 10th at 212... Helped lead the Cougars to the team title at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate, the program's first back-to-back titles since 2005-06... Posted a final-round 68 to move into a tie for eighth at 217 and help lead the Cougars to the team title at the Border Olympics, their third straight win... Palmer Cup: Went 3-0-1 at the Palmer Cup to lead Team Europe to an 18.5-11.5 win at Walton Heath Golf Club in England... Teamed with fellow Scotsman Jack McDonald to take a 3 and 1 win over Wyndham Clark-Stewart Jolly... Claimed a 4 and 2 win over Jolly in his first singles match... Enjoyed a 3 and 2 win over Brandon Hagy in his final singles match.
Sat out the season as a redshirt to refine his game and focus on academics. Summer: Competed for Team Scotland at the European Team Championships in early July in Denmark... Helped lead team to a second-place finish at that event.... Tied for 11th at the International European Amateur Championship... Posted a score of 294 at Real Club de Golf in El Prat, Spain.
Finished second on the team with a 73.13 scoring average... Tied for the team lead with four top-10 finishes and led the Cougars with six rounds in the 60s. Fall - Made his Cougar debut during the season-opening Gopher Invitational... Earned a second-place finish at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic with a steady showing... Shot even-par or better during his final two rounds to help lead the Cougars to a share of the team title... Birdied the 16th hole and finished with two pars on the way to a final-round 69 to help preserve the tie... NCAA Athens Regional: Posted an even-par 71 in the second round and tied for 51st at 222. Summer: Won the Sutherland Chalice in his native Scotland with a score of 4-under-par 276 at Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club... Opened and closed the tournament with even-par 70s... Posted back-to-back 68s in the second and third rounds to win by a stroke... Honored as a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar.
Competed for two seasons at Michigan State from 2009 to 2011 before transferring to Houston. Sophomore (2010-11): Appeared in seven events... Finished third on the team with a 75.5 scoring average... Second on the team with two top-10 and three top-20 finishes... Won the Fossum Invitational in a playoff over teammate Chris Mory, shooting a 146 (74-72)...
