1997-98: Honored as C-USA Freshman of the Year... also named to the All-C-USA Second Team... played in all 13 tournaments... tied for second on the team with a 73.4 stroke average... registered three top 10 finishes... low score of the season was a 209 (68-73-68) at the Golf World Intercollegiate... his effort was good for third place... tied for second with a 218 (73-68-77) at the Ping-Golfweek Preview... finished tied for sixth with 224 (71-80-73) at the C-USA Championships helping the Cougars to a first place finish... shot in the 60s five times, including a season-low 68 three times.

High School/Juniors: Two-time state champion at Turpin High School in Cincinnati, Ohio... two-time All-State and four-time All-Conference selection... made the All-City squad four times and was named Player of the Year in Cincinnati three times... qualified for the 1997 U.S. Amateur Championships by finishing fourth among a field of 179 entrants at an Ohio regional qualifier.

Personal: Born Andrew Douglas Sanders on November 8, 1978, in Big Rapids, Michigan... parents are Greg and Debbie Sanders... his father plays professional golf... anthropology major... also recruited by Ohio State and Tennessee.
