Rain stop play for Golf, Others at the ASU Invitational

HOUSTON- Play in the second round of the Administaff Augusta State Invitational has been suspended due to inclement weather.

Rain halted play at Champions Retreat Golf Club at 10:44 a.m. with all 90 players on the course. After nearly a four-hour delay, tournament officials announced the decision to suspend play for the day due to unplayable course conditions.

Senior Jordan Irwin is the top Cougar at even-par, good enough for 17th, overall.

The second round will be resumed at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The event will be a 36-hole event and will be considered final at the conclusion of the second round.
