Blake Parks of Odessa-Permian High School and Casey Clendenon of Cinco Ranch High School will join the Cougars for the 2003-04 season.
Parks, who was ranked as the 54th-best senior prospect nationally in the National Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings, won four individual titles during his junior year. Included in those wins was a title at the Big Country Invitational, where he fired a 63 in the second round.
During the 2002 season, Parks posted three top-six finishes and finished eighth at the Southern Junior Championship.
Clendenon was ranked as the 20th-best senior prospect in the nation, according to the NJGS rankings and was placed as the second-best prospect in the state of Texas.
As a sophomore, Clendenon fired back-to-back 69s to win his District Tournament and finished fifth at the Class 5A State Tournament. He won a local U.S. Open qualifier with a round of 4-under-par 68 in 2001 while only 16 years old and won a qualifier for the United States Junior Championship with a 4-under-par 140 at the Houston Country Club.
At the United States Junior Championship, Clendenon advanced to match play where he won his first match before eventually falling in the Round of 32.
In addition, Clendenon finished fifth at the AJGA Ping Phoenix Junior Championship and won the 2002 Katy Fall Tournament at Falcon Point with a round of 66 to win by six strokes and set a new tournament record.
